A new digital destination for luxury fashion customization: Tinker Tailor
Tinker Tailor is the world’s first digital destination for the creation and customization of luxury fashion, where discerning shoppers and top designers collaborate to create personalized and customized pieces available nowhere else. With a founding team polished by years of experience in the luxury fashion space, Tinker Tailor’s groundbreaking concept is shaped by intimate knowledge of what our customer desires: the opportunity to put a personal stamp on beautiful clothing from the world’s top brands. The founder is Aslaug Magnusdottir, with other three partners.
Aslaug Magnusdottir is well know in the fashion industry, she was the cofounder and former CEO of Moda Operandi, the site where shoppers order fashion straight off the runway, before it has even been produced. Now ended the experience with Moda Operandi Ms. Magnusdottir, an Icelandic fashion investor, has launched Tinker Taylor a retail site specialized in customization of luxury fashion label like Gianbattista Valli, Rodarte, Vivienne Westwood or Alberta Ferretti while offering consumers ways to alter certain aspects of the designs.
Fabrics and colors can be selected, also if the choices aren’t unlimited and designers tell Tinker Tailor which elements can be customized. “It’s the Nike ID of luxury fashion,” Ms. Magnusdottir said, referring to the Nike program where people customize shoes and accessories, and the prices will range from $200 for some tops to $20,000 or more for gowns.
