The broken porcelain is the concept behind ANDRESGALLARDO collections. A new brand, with a creative approach to fashion jewellery. Inspired by elements of flora and fauna, combines metal, leather and crystal fragments with porcelain figures that have been reworked and set into whimsical, nature-based jewelry pieces. Porcelain figures are broken and repolished by hand and then assembled into subjective and sometimes surrealistic compositions. Behind the spanish brand the designer Andrés Gallardo, he studied fashion design in Madrid, and while working for several Spanish-based fashion companies, he began to create one-of-a-kind jewelry, finding antique or forgoten porcelain pieces, breaking them and using only the choosen fragments. He created, in 2010, the first serie of unique pieces for friends, stylist and special clients related to art scope. In 2011, as the project expanded, Andrés teamed up with his friend and creative colleague Marina Casal, Madrid-based graphic and textile designer, and launched his namesake Brand. The brand is sold in several shops around the globe and you can buy the jewelry online on ANDRESGALLARDO website or in several boutiques, the complete list is here.
