Pajamas couture: three brands to keep an eye on

Three brands celebrating the pajamas as glamorous outfit to wear at home and beyond.

There is the pajamas that resembles a suit, generally in jersey or fleece with colors and prints perfect on a teen ager, that many women wear under the gaze of perplexed husbands and boyfriends, and there is the dandy version, male inspired, declined in luxury fabrics, loved by Coco Chanel, for refined women who do not hesitate to wear them even outside the walls of the house. Three that celebrate this model are to watch; F.R.S., Sleeper and Olivia Von Halle.

The first, F.R.S, was launched earlier this year by the wife of Remo Ruffini, Moncler’s Patron. F.R. S. is going to Francesca Ruffini Stoppani and, at the same time, stands for the line “For Restless Sleepers” and the customs clearance pajamas as outift glamor. The creator love pajamas, and also collects them, and created a line of models that can be worn during the day. The pajamas are all made exclusively with Italian silk made, in Como, and are inspired to the East but with fifties prints style.

Sleeper is specialized in cotton pajamas, classic cut and a bit oversized. The creators Asya Varetsa and Kate Zubarieva, former fashion journalists, ensure that they can be worn to go for a walk or travel, be used paired with a tuxedo or jeans and they are produced in Ukraine.

Olivia Von Halle is the veteran, as she launched the line of pajamas that bears his name in 2011. Among the fans of the brand, sold worldwide, Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow and Lena Perminova. For its most demanding customers it has created two bespoke services; one provides an embroidered monogram on their pajamas, in collaboration with British institution Hand & Lock, who have been producing the world’s finest hand embroidery in their London atelier since 1767. Then there is also the bespoke made to measure service that offers the ultimate experience in luxe loungewear for those who demand the very best.
